DoubleTree by Hilton Ottawa Downtown

Multiple reviews explicitly praise cleanliness and describe rooms as clean and spacious; isolated mentions of a bathroom leak do not outweigh generally strong cleanliness reports.

Mixed service feedback: several notes of warm, helpful staff, but serious negative incidents (rude clerk, refusal to honor a booking breakfast, and intrusive security behavior) lower the score.

Consistently praised across reviews in multiple languages as excellent, central, and convenient to sites — a clear strong point for the property.

Comfortable for many guests, but there are repeated issues: small rooms for some, poor soundproofing, noisy/old AC, bathtub/fixture problems and at least one water leak reported.

Amenities show weaknesses: limited gym equipment, small/cold swimming pool, and parking not included; otherwise standard hotel facilities are present.

Several guests explicitly report the hotel is overpriced and not worth its star rating, including complaints about extra bed charges and lack of expected services for the price.
